Poolboy - s/t - LP - GRR-012
Poolboy was formed in 2003 by vocalist & guitar player Michael Loveland (Early Beat), vocalist & bass player Sean Barker (Early Beat & Bad Athlete), and drummer John Calvin Abney (John Moreland, solo). The trio released a 7" in 2014 that gave a quick taste of the shared vocals and frenetic guitars of Barker and Loveland and the energetic drumming of Abney. Just as the single was released Michael Loveland was diagnosed with cancer. With the community rallied around him and his family, Loveland beat the disease and dedicated his radioactive energy to reactivating his passion, Poolboy. They played various venues and festivals in preparation for recording their debut album with Brine Webb at his OKC studio. The album was recorded with minimal overdubs over a period of just two days to capture the feeling of their raucous live shows. Pressed at 45 RPM and limited to 300.

Messengers Incorporated - Soulful Proclamation - LP - GRR-011
Long prized by record collectors and soul enthusiasts alike, Soulful Proclamation is a monster soul funk album, nearly unheard since its original release in 1972. After constant performances in and around the Oklahoma City area, Messengers Incorporated produced and released this album themselves, in the hopes of scoring a record deal. While the deal never materialized, the group left this incredible document behind.
The album features ten tracks centered in soul and funk, but drawing on influences of rock and jazz. The titular and opening track “Soulful Proclamation” was compiled on the classic Now Again album Midwest Funk. Featured here are seven originals and three covers, including an intense Latin flavored funk instrumental version of the Beatles’ “Eleanor Rigby.”
Soulful Proclamation is one of the rarest of holy grail collector albums: not only do original copies fetch upwards of a thousand dollars and are exceptionally rare, but it is also exceptionally good. Now it is available again in the US for the first time since its original 1972 release in a strictly limited, one time only edition of 1000. This release is an official Record Store Day exclusive, only available to participating stores.
The album is fully licensed from the band and has been newly remastered by Garrett Haines at Tree Lady Studios. The album is pressed on 180 gram vinyl and includes a download code.

Cereal Glyphs - The Second Hand - LP - GRR-010
The Second Hand is the second full length album from Louisville band Cereal Glyphs and the first full-length LP with a fully fleshed out five-piece band. The Second Hand is genre busting—at times sounding like a blown out and blistered B-52’s, a southern fried Oh Sees and a power-pop psych raising of Jim Morrison’s Doors. Call it whatever genre you want, Cereal Glyphs manage to channel garage, psychedelic and punk rock influences into 10 cohesive tracks in 35 minutes for a thrilling ride. Tackling simple concepts like content consumption, overstimulation and hypersensitivity, The Second Hand’s psych-punk sizzle calls to mind a bunch of jaded ex-mall rats in the new prime of their lives.
The Second Hand was recorded and mixed by Cereal Glyph's guitarist/vocalist Andy Myers in December 2016 on a Tascam 388; mastered by Daniel Husayn at North London Bomb Factory.

Rainbows Are Free - Waves Ahead Of The Ocean - LP/CD - GRR-009
Waves Ahead of the Ocean is the follow up to RAF's 2010 breakout album Believers In Medicine. Their sophomore release heralds a unique interpretation of a bygone era of classic heaviness, setting them apart from contemporaries with whom they have shared the stage including Saint Vitus, High On Fire, The Sword, Pallbearer, Kylesa and Dead Meadow. Waves Ahead of the Ocean conjures up dark occult imagery and apocalyptic soundscapes that create an ominous portend of doom for all who listen.
"Waves finds the band as heavy as ever, only recharged with a sinful lust for rhythm and groove right up the Queens of the Stone Age or Mastodon's alley." - Joshua Boydston, Oklahoma Gazette February 12, 2014

Shitty/Awesome - s/t LP - GRR-006
The boys of S/A wanted a band that would fill local basements and house parties with loud, sweaty, quivering masses interested in little more than dancing like maniacs and passing out in a backyard. Taking notes from garage rock and post-punk legends like Tyevk, The Cramps, and Suicide, Shitty/Awesome has extended the formula even further to create a noisy, hairy cacophony that they can proudly call their own. Metaphorically speaking, if garage rock is the champagne of bottled bands, then Shitty/Awesome is a bottle of model glue in the parking lot. Cover by Seattle artist & gentleman of leisure Derek Erdman.

Broncho - Can't Get Past The Lips LP - GRR-007/CQ-001
GRR teams up with CQ Records! BRONCHO’s songs earn their credibility through singer/guitarist Ryan Lindsey’s punchy hooks, devil‐maycare attitude and blunt delivery. Ben King’s dirty surf‐meets‐concrete guitar riffs flesh out the band’s sound, while the thunderous bass of Johnathon Ford (Unwed Sailor, Native Lights) and the hard‐hitting beats of Nathan Price make up the driving rhythm section. Fearsome power pop crunch bubbles through, making one of our favorite records of the year.
